Our Story

Responsive Drivers Uganda (ReDU) is a registered National NGO founded to address the rising number of preventable road crashes that claim thousands of lives in Uganda every year.

The vision behind ReDU was spearheaded by Eng. Komakech Joseph Ojambo, a road safety engineer and the Founder/Executive Director. He pioneered Uganda's first-ever Road Safety Week, launched in Gulu City.

From its beginnings as a grassroots coalition of professional drivers, ReDU has evolved into a nationally recognized leader in road safety, public health, and community development.
